How to calculate Binance futures fees
Calculate each fill from its position value and fee rate. Opening and closing are separate transactions, so a round trip usually has two fees.
The fee formula
Opening notional = margin × leverage
Quantity = opening notional ÷ entry price
Closing notional = quantity × exit price
Use decimal rates in the formula: 0.020% is 0.0002 and 0.050% is 0.0005. These are illustrative rates. Use the current rates shown in your account for your contract and execution type.
A complete round-trip example
Assume 1,000 USDT margin, 10× leverage, a long entry at 65,000 and exit at 66,000. Use a 0.020% maker entry and 0.050% taker exit, with no BNB discount, referral rebate or funding.
| Opening position value | 10,000 USDT |
|---|---|
| Quantity | 0.153846154 |
| Opening fee | 2.00 USDT |
| Closing position value | 10,153.85 USDT |
| Closing fee | 5.08 USDT |
| Total trading fees | 7.08 USDT |
| Gross profit | 153.85 USDT |
| Net profit before other costs | 146.77 USDT |
The closing position value changes with price even when quantity stays constant. Multiplying the opening fee by two would give the wrong answer here.
Include the costs that apply
Funding is separate from trading commission. The calculator can estimate signed funding using an entered rate and settlement count; it cannot predict future settlement rates or mark prices. Slippage and liquidation charges are outside this model.
Eligible BNB savings and a selected eligible referral return are applied sequentially. They are conditional estimates, so confirm account eligibility before relying on them. Registration is optional.
What if you do not know the exit price?
With no prices entered, the tool estimates both sides using the same position value. With only an entry price, it estimates the opening side only. Net PnL and break-even require both prices. For a full round trip, enter both prices.
Check formulas and actual account rates
These examples cover USDT-M linear perpetuals. Assumed rates are not live account rates. For full formulas, reference-review dates and Binance official sources, see the methodology and sources.
